In The Crucible, Mr. Miller engineered a beautiful allegory in response to the misguided steps being taken by the HUAC in the 1950's. The production is now considered to be one of the most powerful pieces of contemporary American theatre.
Often times, it becomes difficult to discern meaning and establish a context of understanding in periods of strife and change. Thought-provoking and all too relevant in today's world, The Crucible continues to challenge its audiences to
ponder the implications of actions at play within our society.
